La Cua Curta

BORN IN BARCELONA

The Short... Tail? is the translation of "La Cua Curta" — And “short,” why? That’s the curiosity sparked by the name of this small restaurant, which remained hidden in a typical narrow street of Barcelona’s Born district for almost 50 years.

The story comes from an anecdote of its owners, Àlex and Carme, who filled the restaurant’s identity with history, tradition, affection, and love.

After hanging on its brick walls paintings with photos from their travels around the world, Àlex and Carme decided to leave their corner of memories in the hands of their son, Adrià.

Adrià has worked in many different gastronomic spaces, learning from the best chefs and leading hospitality experts. He decided to take a turn in his professional life, moving from being the director of the prestigious private club Soho House Barcelona to running the romantic venue in the Born.

Together with his wife, Inés, they embarked on a new adventure by opening a second restaurant in the Sants neighborhood in 2024, with the intention of filling it with the same magic as its predecessor.

La Cua Curta blends family and gastronomic tradition in a local restaurant for locals and people from around the world in search of authenticity.
